You Don't Have To Be A
Heavy Hitter To Make It In
MLM!
Heavy Hitters, the fabled mass recruiting "machines" of Multilevel Marketing, are rare. They're probably about one-in-a-thousand or one-tenth-of-one-per-cent of all networkers.
Heavy Hitters are the people who were either born with or developed their persuasive talents. They are good at speaking in public and doing presentations. They're comfortable in front of groups. They also know just what to say to make sales.
While they may sometimes be the top earners in MLM companies, it isn't always the case because they can recruit people but not necessarily keep them! Heavy Hitters are hared to duplicate, and they are usually too busy with their own activities to be there for the anyone they sponsor.
But the truth is, you don't have to be a "heavy hitter" to make it in MLM!
A lot of people have made money in Multilevel Marketing by just being themselves. What mattered to them was that they wanted to change where they were financially, and unlike the Heavy Hitters who rely on big numbers when sponsoring, hoping for a few to stick, these people have built their MLM success without changing their character. They have succeeded by being there for those they've sponsored, guiding them in their business building activities, and teaching them how to do the same with the groups they build.
Knowing that Network Marketing is a business in which one's own success depends very heavily on the success of the people in one's organization, any smart business builder will see to it that those he does sponsor have all the support they need for getting their business established, whether it's through personal contact, over the phone, through newsletters, or on a website.
By working toward the success of your group, you build lasting relationships and a team or organization that will stay with you.
In my MLM career, I've had sponsors who wouldn't be there for me. Who would not return calls, do what they promised, or even provide any kind of system that I could use to build my business. I basically had to figure it out for myself by reading a lot of books, listening to a lot of tapes, and testing out ideas and methods of doing business that would work for me. I've vowed never to be like that, but to be the best sponsor I could be and give anyone who joined me, and wanted it, whatever help I could give them.
Network marketing really is an industry in which you are "in business for yourself, but not by yourself."
Success in Network Marketing doesn't require any of the slick people skills that Heavy Hitters might have, but on taking a real interest in the success of those you sponsor.
Yes,
every now and then, someone does come along who knows what they're
doing and really doesn't want any help. In those instances just stand
back and let them go to it! When you get one of these, consider them a
gift for having paid your dues and stayed with MLM.
